Spanish authorities, in collaboration with the FBI, Panda Security and Defence Intelligence have arrested three Spaniards suspected of creating and controlling the Mariposa Botnet, which was brought down in December 2009.

Andrew thanks again, good information. I have bookmarked http://defintel.com/mariposa.shtml. A very good site. I wonder if the infected computers will ever know they are infected. I hope that all security programs will scan for this botnet. Is public hanging legal in Spain?

Layback Bear, hanging is too quick for the likes of people who create these kinds of problems  They should suffer slowly and for a very long time!

Your correct carri. We need something slower. How about one of the old dungeons that are still around in the U.K. Just thinking back in history the dungeons came with toys that could ruin a botnet creator day. I can't use the word tor------- because that wouldn't be politically correct.
