changing name of my wifi internet

hey everyone, im trying to change the name of my dads wifi, right now it says "linksys" and i dont mess around with the router or the internet itself, so i dont know how to change the name (i want to make it my families last name or something)
does anyone know how to do this? i would really like any info possible, thank you =)
Fix everything, if nothing is left to fix than break something.

Go to your router config page, it should be one of these:

192.168.1.1
192.168.2.1
192.168.1.100

Username and Pass should be admin:admin

And you should see the option to change the name. I don't have access to a linksys router right now, so I can't give you step by step instructions, sorry.
