Wow, where to begin...

Ok IBM 9228-MC1 (Intellistation Z Pro). Essentially the machine will not boot up properly without disrupting power (namely pulling the power cord while in a powered state).

- When it doesn't boot properly it essentially spins the fans up for a minute or so... then nothing. Blank screen, no activity lights, not so much as a BIOS splash screen. If it is continueing from a power restoration it boots fine. You get the BIOS splash, menu options, OS... whatever just like normal.

- If I am in Windows and restart it appears to do exactly that.. it shuts down... powers up the fans like its booting during POST... but nothing.
- If I do a "shutdown"... it does.. I oush the power button to turn it back on... same problem.
- If I shut down and THEN pull the power... finally turn it back on.... same problem...

The only thing that works.. Pulling power while its on. I wait until after a bad restart and then do it. I have NO IDEA what in the world this could be....

I'll give anything for a good lead or answer.... Anyone?
Thanks,
JRoberts
