Okay, so during Youtube videos my computer freezes or pretty much any video that's streaming. Sometimes on the first on I watch but mostly on the second or third. It completely locks up and I have to turn the power switch off.

Why is this happening?

Try another browser to eliminate issues with Opera.

Hello

Does the problem happen only when using the Opera browser, or does it also happen in other browsers such as IE or Firefox ?

I searched and found the following information:

YouTube uses Adobe Flash Video technology

source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/YouTube

What to do if Opera freezes or crashes

Opera Knowledge Base:

I don't know if this applies to you, as I do not know which version you have:
Compatibility problems with Adobe Flash Player 9 Update 3

Here's the link to the latest version of Adobe Flash Player:
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Installing the Adobe Shockwave plug-in

Okay, thanks.

I'm not sure if it's just Opera because that's really all I use, but I suspect not.

I'll check these out and try it out.
