Hey guys, I just built my computer yesterday, and while I was at my girlfriends house I was downloading at about 1 mb/s. She had wireless internet through a USB port. Now I am back at my house running a cat5 through a router and I am down to 130 KB/s. What the hell? I was in awe when I saw this and still am, whats going on?

Do you and your girlfriend have same ISP, and same internet subscription packages ?
What kind of internet connection do you have ?
If you are getting very slow speed than advertised by your ISP, then call them now.

Talked to Verizon, they're sending out a new Modem since ours is about 6 years old lol. Sorry about the post, just when you get a new computer you expect almost lightning speed
