hello, i have got ubuntu and its now with a dual boot with windowd 7

in my other laptop it has a dual boot with windows 7 and windows vista and when i start it i hvae 2 option vista and 7 and on that laptop i can press f12 (to go to the recovey manger)

but on this laptop with ubnutn and 7 beacuse of the grub loader it gives me 5 options i havent clicked on the other 3 just the first 1 for ubuntu and the 7 loader for windows 7

but the main problem is that on this laptop when i on it and hit esc and the click f12 to go to revocey manger it does not work it goes to the grub boot loader with the 5 options why is this

cant i just use the noraml windows boot loader which boots a dual boot 7 and ubuntu ?

From what it sounds, the F12 recovery manager is only available in the Windows 7/Vista bootloader. Scroll down to and select the Windows 7 loader option in GRUB, then try accessing the recovery manager from there.

As long as it doesn't try to recover anything automatically, it should be safe.
