Twice a month I have to set up weight loss seminars. The laptop we use for the presentation is an iBook G4. Every time I try to plug it in and turn it on it will make a noise that sounds like it is turning on, but will never fully turn on. Even if I wait for 15 mins, the POS never turns on unless I press power, let it make the noise, then pull the battery out and put it back in then press power again. It happens even if I try it with no battery in it and only on AC power. Also, sometimes when the laptop lid is shut and opened back up, there will be "noise" on the screen and you will have to shut the lid and open it again to get the normal screen to come back up. Sometimes you will have to open and close the lid a few times before it fixes. Any ideas?

I would say that either the switch for the screen is bad or you video card is shot, also it could be a wireing problem. Sorry for any misspellings I'm on an iPod touch right now and spell check is awful.
