I got the AV virus that messed up my computer. I cleaned the virus, fixed some exe associations, but still can't get all of my programs to run. Some programs like regedit, I can get to run via a software shell, but the program will not run directly from the run command. The restore program will not work and I have some compressed installation programs that decompress and than the setup will not run. I get a "Windows cannot open this file: To open this file windows needs to know the program that created it." I think I tried most if not all the recommended registry fies and it help some programs but not all.

Also, some registry fixes show "\1%\" %*, while others have "1%" %*. I have tried both and no luck. Any help would be appreciated. thanks. Ronnie
