I have a Gateway GT5014, with Windows XP Media Center Edition. It has 3 gig of ram and a Pentium D 2.8GHz.

I bought a new video card for it (9500GT) and it does not work. I have tried everything and spent hours upon hours searching the net for answers, and I've found nothing.

I am just going to buy a different card, but I need opinions. I only paid around $70 for the 9500GT, so I would like to keep the price about the same.

Help me guys!

so do you have it installed in the pci-ex16 slot? There is only one on most computers and the gateway spec sheet only mentions one.
