I currently have a 2.6 Ghz Intel Celeron processor. What I wanted to know is how my processor compares to others, why Celerons are supposed to be so bad, what kind of games I can play with it ( I have a good graphics card and 512 MB of RAM), and if I need to upgrade it, what a cheap but good processor to buy would be? Thanks in advance.

To test the performance of your processor, i suggest 3dmark03/05

This will test your computers overall performance in resource heavy games or programs.

The reason people think celerons are so bad is because of their clock, but they make up for it by having a huge cache.
