I have been infected with "wareout". I have already deleted the wareout folder from the program folder, and tried to uninstall with the windows removal program.
I disabled "wareout exe" using the msconfig program. Now I would like to get rid of the rest of the program. I have also run "regSeeker" and found 10 location in the registry where "wareout" is identified. Can I just delete these, or what should I do.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Hello cylon and welcome to the BC HijackThis forum. Let's start with this.

Download FindT.zip and extract the contents to c:\.

This will create a c:\FindT folder with the extracted files in it. Go to that folder and double-click on the runthis.bat file to scan the system. After the scan is complete Notepad will open with the scan results. Use the Add Reply button to post the entire contents of the Notepad document back here and I will review it when it comes in.

Cheers.
