Hello all,

I downloaded a program (a flight planning tool for flight simulator) from a respectable site (several years with no problems). Upon restart I got an error looking for win32sl. After closing this error message, I get a few more errors including Explorer (I can get the details on the other errors if needed). Any idea what I can do?

HP Vectra
Windows 98

Please do provide the additional information so that others might help you.

The name of the program and the link.

All of the error messages that you are seeing - verbatim.

Include any AntiVirus programs, firewalls, or such that you are using.

The more information you provide, the easier it will be for another to help you.

Here are the error messages in order:

Win32sl - Illegal operation shut down
Explorer - Illegal operation shut down
Dmiwdog - Illegal operation shut down
HP Remote DMI Agent for TCP/IP - Could not register with the service layer

Here is a link to the software site: http://www.fscommander.com/

I see from this webpage that the software is intended for Windows 2000 or greater. I would imagine this is the problem. This was not mentioned on the Avsim.com download page. Most addon software for microsoft flight simulator is downloaded from a site like Avsim instead of the actual software creator's homepage. I've contacted the person responsible for the software to see if he can help.

I'm using a Norton Anti-Virus program. I'm not entirely sure on the exact edition, but I may be able to find out once I get home.

Let me know if you need any more info.
Thank you,
