I didn't know you couldn't. I have a free hotmail account on Outlook Express. Does it apply to only new membership??

Free acounts were stopped last year. Existing accounts may continue for the moment, but new accounts have to be paid for. It is apparently an effort to reduce spam.

I still seem to be able to use my Hotmail account with OE, but I'm not holding my breath.

A year later and I still receive a load of spam everyday. 100 to 150 per day.
