Hi,

I had this problem after getting the antivirus 2010 virus. An updated MBAM managed to detect and remove the av.exe, and there is a link in the topic below which directs you to a fix for the problem you seem to be having with running programs.

Hello

I would like you to view the following topic:
How to remove XP Internet Security 2010, Antivirus Vista 2010, and Win 7 Antispyware 2010

and follow all instructions there.

While a System Restore APPEARS to have helped, it may not actually be the best solution, because your restore points could have become infected.

I strongly suggest that if you have not done so already, follow ALL instructions in the How to remove XP Internet Security 2010, Antivirus Vista 2010, and Win 7 Antispyware 2010

without delay.

Please reply and include the results of the Malwarebytes' scan (copy/paste the entire contents of the log into your next reply).

Did you format the hard drive, and reinstall Windows ?
If yes, you're ok.
