I have 2 computers with the same issue. They hang when loading into windows vista. I can boot the pcs into safemode. It started out when they both had a virus called Security Tool. The virus was removed but i think it may have taken the MBR with it or corrupted it. I would like to fix the pcs without a system restore. Sometimes the pc screens will go black but everything is running (doesnt go black in safe mode). The computers also recently just did windows updates could this be an issue? I am going to check the video drivers on them and see if i can do a system repair? If these dont work does anyone have any other suggestions other than system restore?

EDIT: Topic moved to a more appropriate forum ~ Elise
