Hello. This is my first time posting.

I recenlty used the tutorials to download Autoruns and I hope got rid of the following:

msole32
intell32
intmonp

However, one of these (or something else) has changed my background to a warning "ad" - red and white letters on a black background. And I can't get it to change. There is no "Background" tab under properties. This is very frustrating (and a bit embarassing).

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Best,

-capt p

Could you give ma a little info on the anti virus and anti spyware programs you use.

In the meantime use the steps on this page to remove those bugs.

Check here to make sure you're not running any of these bogus software products
http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm

Use this link to clean up your computer and keep it clean.

I also recommend Microsoft Antispyware (beta) and to clean temp files and other needless stuff I use Ccleaner

If you still have issues download Hijackthis read the
tutorial read How to post a log

Then post your log here

Be patient after you post your log The volunteers who assist people on that board are extremely busy. They will get to you log just be patient very, very patient.

Thanks for all the help.

I've been relying on Hope and Dumb Luck (both version v.1.0) for anti-virus and anti-spyware, due to cheapness and sloth.

Inexpensive suggestions?
