I recently received a Canon Vixia HF20 with Pixela software. After spending a total of 8 hours, I still cannot download my video or photographs.

I work regularly with digital cameras and have never spent more than 1/2 hour setting up the camera to have it put the pictures in the computer.

The pictures and video in the camera are wonderful, but if I can't download them, then all I have is a very expensive album.

Does anyone have any help they can give me?

According to what I have read in the manuals and on the Internet, the media will not go into Windows photo gallery or Windows media player.

I have also read on the Internet many complaints about the software.

If you have a better software choice or if you know the secret to getting the pictures off the camera, please let me know.
