I get a STOP 0x0000007B (0x80399BB0, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
AHCI option is on
Safemode stops at crcdisk.sys

I ran chkdsk /f /r on C: (no change)
eMachines EL1210-09
Phoenix - Award BIOS R01-A0
BIOS Release Date: 09/24/2008
2Gb of RAM, 120Gb HDD SATA = 60 Gb C:, 60 Gb D:

system repair give the info below:

Problem event name: StartupRepairV2
Problem Signature 01: Autofailover
Problem Signature 02: 6.0.6000.16386.6.0.6001.18000
Problem Signature 03: 6
Problem Signature 04: 1114129
Problem Signature 05: NoRootCause
Problem Signature 06: NoRootCause
Problem Signature 07: 0

Problem Signature 09: SystemRestore
Problem Signature 10: 0
OS Version: 6.0.6000.2.0.0.256.1
Locale ID: 1033

I can't download anything on this machine and when I run anything like OTL.exe or GMER.exe it is running in the system repair environment on the X: drive so I can't see the "real" registry.
Vista is new to me and I thought it had a fool proof system repair utility but I must have found a way to break that. I hate to install from scratch because of the software that is installed but if there is no other alternative, let me know.

Thank you for your help!
