I just opened msconfig to weed out unneeded startup programs and I found 7 new entries:

.gtk-bookmarks command \.gtk-bookmarks
.recently-used command \recently use-xbel
ntuser.dat command \ntuser
.....and some other ntuser files in what looks like a Linux structure??? Googleing .gtk-bookmarks yields Linux oriented pages

I swear this crap wasn't there as of last boot. What the hell is it?

I have Windows XP professional SP3

Quick note: I opened the .recently-used.xbel file with notepad and found this:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<xbel version="1.0"
xmlns:bookmark="http://www.freedesktop.org/standards/desktop-bookmarks"
xmlns:mime="http://www.freedesktop.org/standards/shared-mime-info"
></xbel>

I have no idea what "www.freedesktop.org" is, but i have never been to that site.
