Hi there,

I have been following the instructions at the respective link:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-remo...irus-vista-2010

However, I missed step 4:
4.On the infected computer make sure XP Internet Security 2010, Antivirus Vista 2010, or Win 7 Antispyware 2010 is running. If it is not, you can launch it by running any program on your computer as that will trigger the rogue program to run. Once running, do not close it during the entire length of this guide.

Stupid me, I had av.exe closed during the rest of the guide. It was not until the middle of Malware scan did I attempt to start av.exe again (by openning iexplore). By my surprise, the spyware appears to be gone, and my Malware is still scanning and has yet to detect any malware...

Is the malware gone? or did something go terribly wrong?

As no logs have been posted, I am shifting this topic from the specialized Malware Removal forum to the Am I Infected forum.

==>PLEASE DO NOT NOW POST LOGS<== unless a log is specifically requested.

Please describe the issues you are experiencing with your computer.

regards, Elise
