I am labeled a senior citizen, it's good for discounts on meals. Some think it's harder for us older guys to learn new things and sometimes it is. I love computers and have worked on quite a few of them and so far have been successful in fixing them. I would like to know more though and could often save myself a lot of time by getting help. I look forward to posting a current problem and getting help, so far this one has me stumped.

Hello and welcome to Bleeping Computer.

Please take the time, to browse the New User Orientation forum, to help familiarize yourself with how the board works.

Also, don't forget to check out the Tutorials.
There's a lot of very useful information, in there.

why won't my laptop work?

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
Do not send me PMs with problems that should be posted in the forums. Keep it in the forums, so everyone benefits

So complex has computing become, it is almost impossible to be an expert on everything. Age has little to do with it, so don't hesitate to ask for help.
Welcome to BC!

Thank you for the welcome. I plan to read the new member orientation and review the tutorials before posting. I know it must be aggravating to have a newbie jump right in and do things that they shouldn't do. Even more so if it was explained in the orientation or on the tutorials. I look forward to asking for help once I know the proper way to go about it.

Thanks for the warm welcome, I build and repair computers strictly as a hobby. Have been coming to BleepingComputer for some time mainly for the information and use of Combofix. As most of the computers I receive to fix are loaded with various viruses I'm sure these forums will be a great help, Thanks again
