I am having the same problem, when I turn the computer on Windows tries to load, but doesn't. Sometimes it just runs and runs and nothing happens. If I hit F8 it gives me the choice to start in safe mode, but it doesn't load either. Let me know if anyone solves this problem. I have an Acer Aspire and run Windows Vista Home Premium. I have not had any problems with this computer before.

Right now my computer is in startup repair? It just runs and runs. I'm not really sure it is doing anything. Does anybody have any ideas? If you do, explain them light you are talking to a 5 year old. (lol) I'm not really knowledgeable about computers.

It just restarted itself and all I get is the green bar and nothing else!

The green bar stopped and the computer is running chkdsk?

Nothing happened, when chkdsk finished running, it restarted and did it all over again.

I think I going to try to use the recovery disk, but I had to order one, since it wasn't burned to a cd. I should get it this week. If anybody has any suggestions, let me know. Thanks for your help.
