I can't boot my desktop at home because I keep getting this message:

Cannot boot because following is missing or infected:

Followed by something about hitting 'r' at the first setup page, but that does NOTHING.

I have the original disk, but I don't know how to get it to load or get to a place where I can repair it. What on Earth has happened? I have Kaspersky 2010 on there so I thought it was safe, but I am pulling my hair out and don't know ANYTHING about computers. PLEASE HELP!!

Edit: Moved topic from General Chat to the more appropriate forum. Making an assumption of the OS. ~ Animal
