HI,

This trojan popped up on my computer yesterday, and I tried following removal steps from this website, but nothing has worked at all for me. I downloaded Malwarebyte and that "supposedly" removed some of the junk, but I am getting crazy popups (as I type this I keep x'ing out of 5 virus/security popups at a time) from this Antivirus Soft program. I can't open up Malwarebyte anymore and for some reason my computer won't work in safemode with networking...it won't connect to my wireless.

I need some serious help.

Thanks so much.

As no logs have been posted, I am shifting this topic from the specialized Malware Removal forum to the Am I Infected forum.

==>PLEASE DO NOT NOW POST LOGS<== unless a log is specifically requested.

Please describe the issues you are experiencing with your computer.

regards, Elise

Elise025,

I assume you want me to restate what is happening with my computer?

I currently have the Antivirus soft virus program on my computer (using another laptop as we speak b/c I can't even type on my computer anymore.) Lots of fake virus alerts, google redirects me when I click links, Malwarebyte won't open anymore, and I keep getting pages for porno.org and viagra (are they trying to tell me something?).

I tried the self remove guide you have on this website to get rid of Antivirus soft...but my computer won't connect to the wireless in safemode w/ networking capabilities for some reason.

Any help would be awesome.

Thanks

Are you able to download tools to a CD/flashdrive and to transfer them to your infected computer (in safe mode)?

First of all, to make sure you do not infect any other computer...

Please download Flash_Disinfector.exe by sUBs and save it to the desktop of your clean computer.
  • Double-click Flash_Disinfector.exe to run it and follow any prompts that may appear.
  • The utility may ask you to insert your flash drive and/or other removable drives. Please do so and allow the utility to clean up those drives as well.
  • Hold down the Shift key when inserting the drive until Windows detects it to keep autorun.inf from executing if it is present.
  • Wait until it has finished scanning and then exit the program.
  • Reboot your computer when done.
Note: As part of its routine, Flash_Disinfector will create a hidden folder named autorun.inf in each partition and every USB drive that was plugged in when you ran it. Do not delete this folder...it will help protect your drives from future infection by keeping the autorun file from being installed on the root drive and running other malicious files.

Now try to follow the steps in this guide, but instead of downloading the tools directly to your infected computer, transfer them as explained above.

Let me know if you are able to follow the steps

regards, Elise
