Ya, I ran disc defrag and it said it could only put a fraction of the files in their correct spot. I have a lot of misplaced files that won't get fixed. Any help?

You could try a dedicated disk defragmenter application, but before you do it might be advisable to check a few other things and take into consideration such as how long it was since you last defragged the disk, and how full is it? You could try defragging using the built in defragmenter again and close all other programmes to see if this helps. I occaisionally use Advanced System Care's defragmenter and it does seem to do a bit more than the windows one. Hope this was useful.

Well, I can't remember the exact message. I'll do it again tonight and then post it.

Never mind. I think I got it. Apparently my disc is not fragmented anymore.
