You are really being run through the mill with your laptops.
According to your other post, you are a student.
Do your parents have homeowners insurance? If they do, have them check the policy-your laptop may be covered under the policy. If nothing specific is found in the policy, pick up the phone and call the insurance company and ask.
Worth a try, because a deductable could be cheaper than shelling out for a new one. (depends on the deductable amount and the laptop you want)

When you do get a new laptop, consider investing in THIS:LoJack for Laptops

PS. I hope you filed a police report.

I'm not preaching.
Lord knows I smoked enough in my day, but think about
As per your statement in the Speakeasy forum
Those buds of yours that helped you with those three bowls do not really have your best interest at heart
My 2 cents - off my soapbox now

why won't my laptop work?

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
Do not send me PMs with problems that should be posted in the forums. Keep it in the forums, so everyone benefits

Yes, Im a student, and no my dads coverage dosent cover me, being an adult.

I have thought about that, but i deal mostly with "thugs" And "hoods" they dont want to connect to the internet, They want 150 in crack money. Lojack would not work.

the dumb criminal didnt even take my charger. :/

Have you checked with your dad about the coverage? You might still be covered since you are a student. Do you live with your dad or use his address as your official "home address" while at school? Even if you don't use his address, there may be a clause that pertains to adult children who are in school. Every homeowners policy I've had covers possessions of children in school. My 77 year old mother has that clause in her policy, and obviously none of her children are students.
It's worth a shot to investigate.
