Hello,
I've never had any issues with viruses I couldn't detect or fix so this is blowing my mind. I have a Dell Laptop with Windows XP Pro. It has virus protection that has popped up one warning maybe a month ago. All of my updates are current, etc... Yesterday it started freezing up regardless of what program I was using. The mouse wouldn't move, I couldn't type, close windows, toggle, CTRL-ALT-DEL , use Task Manager, etc... I had to force it to power off. I restarted in Safe Mode and installed Malware Bytes and ran it. The first time it said I had 9 files and then it froze up and I had to reboot. The second time I ran it it said I had zero. I ran my virus scan and it says I have no viruses/malware. I did a Windows Registry Scan that found 1688 errors. I then downloaded Adware and it found 682 issues with Invalid Shortcuts, Tracking Cookies, Windows Registry, ActiveX Controls, System Services, File Associations, Application Path, and Help Files. I have not ran the repair because I've never seen all of these issues. I'm afraid of screwing something up! Then I learned about Hijack This and tried running it. I have a log attached.

I just can't figure this out. I've never seen all of these other errors. I've never had problems like this before.

Help!
Thanks, Sarah
