When I tried to turn my Inspiron 1525 on today, the unexpected shut down and start windows normally messages came up. I pressed enter and the computed screen turned black, but the cursor was visible. I turned the computer off and then back on and it went through the dell screen I usually see when turning on, then one that said resuming windows, then again it just went to black with the cursor visible. Any suggestions?? Thanks!! I should also add that I am fairly basic when it comes to computers, so straightfoward answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again!

I'm no expert but this happens to me too.

Just wait 3-4 minutes while you see the black screen and your computer will eventually start normally.
Thanks everyone :)
