hey guys! well, im looking for a new computer for my cousin. hes a semi professional photographer, and he hasnt updated his computer since.. er.. hed shoot me for making the joke, but since they came out. and its almost true. we laughingly refer to his pc as 'the brick'.
but anyways! he really has a hate on for dell, which would be my first choice, so! what would be your reccomendation for a good new computer for him? keep in mind, this computer is going to be used for:

internet
uploading and editing photos
uploading and editing videos
(and because of his stepsons, probably a spot of gaming and music.)
let me know what you think!

LOL...that certainly opens up the field...a lot of computer can be acquired for 3 grand .

Uploading and editing photos and videos...is memory-intensive, with some impact from the CPU...but systems have been performing those functions for years now.

What kinds of games?

The iBUYPOWER Gamer Supreme 937SLC is a great choice for a gaming PC. It even comes with free liquid cooling.

Anything that isn't ancient...with 4GB of RAM...can handle those tasks.

For reassurance, you might visist the Adobe forums on those tasks sometime...to see what is popular.
