I am new here. I found this site through Secunia re the "Security Tool" malware.

I am interested in posting because lately, sometimes my computer will crash and give me a blue screen telling me the computer shut down to protect itself. There is a technical message which I do not understand.

I can turn off the computer, reboot, and everything seems ok until it happens again. The last time it happened, less than an hour ago, it seem like the pointer shook slightly. I have no idea.

I have RegTool (paid), Norton 460 (paid), PC Doc Pro v4 (paid), and Advanced System Care (free)
I run chkdsk and everything seems to be ok. The programs above tell me my computer is in good to excellent condition.

I do not know enough to ask the right question.

Any help would get a heartfelt thank you in return.

Carmine40, I goofed, should be Carmine49 for 1949.

What operating system do you have?
