when i write in a search command in yahoo google etc, the bar drops down reveling all my past searches. How do i stop this from happening, restoring my computer to an earlier date did not fix the problem.

YOu can delete them by deleting them from a thru z if this really bothers you.

For instance type in an A highlight it and hold down delete button all will be deleted. Do this all the way through the alphabet.

I don't think you can prevent the feature.

What browser are you using?

For IE, go to Internet Options/General/History. Change the days you want to keep in history to either 1 (today) or to 0, the click apply and click OK. You can also clear current history there as well.
For FF, go to Tools/Privacy. Change the number of days to 1 or 0 in the History Box.
