Hi, I recently purchased new parts off of newegg.com. I setup everything in my tower and have everything plugged in correctly to my knowledge and I can't get it to show a picture on the monitor when I boot up the computer. Prior to sending in the motherboard for RMA I got it to work if I only had RAM in slots 1 and 3 of the motherboard. If I tried to put RAM in slots 2 and 4 it would not show to the monitor at all. Gigabyte said that the problem was the BIOS and that they had to flash it to an updated version and it fixed the problem. Now I can't get it to show to the monitor regardless of what I do. Everything in my tower seems to be getting power and working properly. All of the fans are spinning and the lights are on for all my hardware. I am baffled as to why it is not showing to the monitor properly. The monitor works fine on other computers, so I know it's not the monitor. I am using the adapter for my monitor that came with the XFX Radeon HD 5770 because my monitor is an older VGA type. Still I don't think that is the problem because of how I had it working as described previously. The processor is in correctly so I don't see how it could be that seeing as how I made sure it was placed properly and even rechecked it. I am afraid to reset the CMOS because if it defaults to the way it was before I RMA'd it I would just be back off where I started. Please help me because I am losing my mind. Here is the hardware I am currently using in the build:

Just asking the basics here, but did you plug in the 6 pin power supply? I ask because I forgot to on mine and the way it acted, or not acted, sounds much like yours.

Yes, the latest drivers are installed on my computer after I properly cleaned the old ones with driver sweeper in safe mode.

Everything is plugged in correctly to my knowledge. I checked and rechecked and everything is plugged in and receiving power. I am actually on it right now but I still can't use slots 2 and 4 of the ram. If I just use slots 1 and 3 then I can use my computer. Also, the Ethernet port doesn't work properly. It either works once in every blue moon, gets a flashing orange light and doesn't connect, or doesn't get a light at all and doesn't connect.

Anybody have an ideas?

I'm a little confused, from the manual of your mobo it says

If two memory modules are to be installed, it is recommended
that you install them in the DDR2_1 and DDR2_2
sockets.

So have you tried that? Or are you using 1 and 3, 2 and 4 only?

I see you have 4 sticks, but if you can only get 2 to work, I was wondering which ways you've tried.

I tried all the combinations possible. I even tried putting all 4 in. I put 1 and 2 in and it dosn't work. It only works with slots 1 and 3 in.

Hmm.. I don't know, sounds like you may have to RMA the board. I can't think of anything else right now... sorry..

I already RMA'ed the board to Gigabyte. They said it had something to do with a corrupt bios and they flashed it to the newest version. This still didn't fix the problem. I figure why waste 20 more dollars and be without a computer for 3 weeks to send it back and have them do nothing.
