Can anyone tell me how I can transfer my ITunes and all its content onto my external harddrive. I want to clear my pc of Itunes to recover some space, and use the external hardrive purely for Itunes. Is this possible?

Thanks for that, but that is to back it up onto the external hard-drive. What I want to do is to run Itunes exclusively from the external hard-drive and not from the main computer. I want to completely clean my pc of itunes and only have it on the external hard-drive if that is possible. Trouble is I dont know if i can do that.

Sorry I wasn't clear enough, left out the last steps , read the link, follow the instructions and then uninstall iTunes from your computer and install it to your external drive. If you don't want to go that route and you have all of your music on your ipod already, you can use SharePod
