Hello there, I am having serious issues with my system now. Earlier I discovered that I was infected with this XP Antivirus 2010. It had bogus warnings and other misc. warnings all over the screen. I ran my McAfee, and found 1 torojan. Then I downloaded and ran malwarebytes, and found 300 things and removed them all. When I attempt to open my internet explorer, and get a box that says "OPEN WITH" Then tells me to "choose the program you want to use to open this FILE". Also, when I try to open ANY other programs like workd or excel, it tells me "application not found". I am at a stand still and am afraid to do ANYTHING else. I can only access the internet by clicking the "browse the internet" option from the "OPEN WITH" box. I attempted to do a system restore and was going to restore to yesterday's date. I can not even get that to work, it tells me "Application not found". PLEASE HELP!!!

As no logs have been posted, I am shifting this topic from the specialized HiJack This forum to the Am I Infected forum.

==>PLEASE DO NOT NOW POST LOGS<== unless a log is specifically requested.

Please describe the issues you are experiencing with your computer.

regards, Elise
