Hi, this is my first time here, and I admit to not having any understanding of things Teknikal. A friend recommended that I download combofix, so I look carefully at the instructions and am stymied at the first hurdle. Instructions say to save it to desktop, but when I try I am told that Adobe 7 won't allow that. I would be grateful if someone could help me. I know I shall have further questions, so I hope you can be patient with me.

Welcome to BC Siannan

Please note the message text in blue at the top of the Am I infected? What do I do? forum.

No one should be using ComboFix unless specifically instructed to do so by a Malware Removal Expert who can interpret the logs. Please read the pinned topic ComboFix usage, Questions, Help? - Look here.

With that said, what issues are you having with your computer that required a friend to recommend ComboFix?

Hello kadirbaba

If you have an issue or problem you would like to discuss, please start your own topic. Doing that will help to avoid the confusion that often occurs when trying to help two or more members at the same time in the same thread. Also include what specific issues you are having that require the use of ComboFix.

The download link can be found in this authorized guide: How to use ComboFix but as I have already advised, no one should not be using it without supervision or guidance by an expert.

Thanks for your cooperation.
