Hi, I'm having a computer problem with Google redirects. When I do a search & click on a topic it takes me to some other sitrs like addresses.com, yellowpages.com, or apartmentfinder.com. I am running Windows XP Media Center, Service Pack 3. I use IE to browse. My AV is McAfee. My computer seems to be running at normal speed, but it wouldn't let me download SuperAntiSpyware or get any Windows updates. I did go into Safe Mode to see if I could download these but couldn't get an internet connection. Now I can't go into Safe Mode at all. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

My computer had been running pretty much as stated in my first post until tonight. I started getting popups from McAfee saying, "An error occured while updating. Please reinstall these programs: McAfee Antivirus Plus Select Edition" Iwent to my McAfee Security Center & the protection for Computer & Files was turned off, clicking the fix button does nothing to reprotect. Another popup said "javaw.exe has encountered a problem & needs to close" When I went to shut down my computer I got another window that said Program will not end "D3DFocus Window". I ended it manually. Whatever I've got appears to be growing.

This morning the email and IM protection on my McAfee was turned off (not by me) & again the fix button would not reprotect. I was howerver able to bootup in Safe Mode. Should I remove & reinstall McAfee? Also twice this weekend something weird happened. My computer started broadcasting what sounded like a talk radio show once, & the second time was like an audio track from a television show. I restarted and they went off.
