Hello Folks,

Dave Foley here, from Orecomm, a small consulting/engineering/provisioning firm in rural Douglas County, Oregon. I am a Silicon Valley refugee with a heavy network background (35+ years), I'm a Mac user by choice, although I also use BSD, Linux, and, when necessary, Windows. I spend a fair bit of time helping seniors, friends, family, and others that need it disinfect, repair, and upgrade their systems, mostly Windows (which could be one reason I really dislike using it myself), and mostly unpaid. Bleeping Computer has been a valuable source of info for some time, so I figured it was about time for me to de-lurk and make my presence known, as well as see if I can give back a bit.

I'm no great whiz-bang on computer innards, but if you have network questions I can probably help.

Dave

The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who haven't got it.
