my laptop started actin weird a couple weeks ago, couldn't access many things in control panel, dev. manager, system restore, etc. Basically anything within the system32 folder. thought it was due to wga So far i have renamed the wga.exe so i could change background. did not help in accessing my utilities. read a lot of people had similar problems after sp3 so today i uninstalled sp3 and caused another problem now i can't even logon at the windows prompt. I did not have a password set before the chkdsk process, and i have tried all previous passwords. HELP!!!!!!!

P.S. my wireless signal is excellant but i was unable to surf the inernet. that is how i came upon these prblems in the first place. posting from another computer

If you are not able to log in to windows, try booting the computer safemode. Try logging in default administrator account. Once you have logged in try to change the password for the other user account from control pannel>user account, or even remove the password.
Hope this fixes the problem.
