How do I stop popups

I am not talking about the normal popups but the ones on a page that are high lighted and popup when you mouse over them.

Generally, you can't. It's coded into the page to open when you hover over the highlighted words.

(if I'm wrong, someone will let me know).

Thanks for the reply, it just get annoying trying to read an article and have boxes pop up in your way.
