Hello,

Im looking for help with a nasty program installed on a computer called "Control-Centre" The OS is Vista 64

Had a look at http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-remo...-control-center But it didnt help as cant start rkill.

I have been able to start the task manager and disable Control-Centre, but am left with a black screen, windows task manager. and can access cmd.

Somehow manageded to start Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, before did a full scan and deleted several entries. On re start tho have the same problem with the control-centre start screen.

Look forward to getting (any!) help!

Thanks for getting back to me guys!

I can open safe mode and can delete ccmain.exe on the task manager, but cannot access the start menu to get online.

Not sure to be honest how i accessed Anti Malware before so cant update it. Although I can access the guest account and even opened another admin account although i guess anything opened in that wont affect the account that has been infected?

Hope somebody can help me sort it!

Managed to open up My computer, found a load of ccmain.ex files, clicked on a link by mistake it stared up again... stopped it with task manager tried scanning files with various security programs, which found nothing.... Deleted the files manually and then used CCleaner, to make sure they were gone...

Scanned with Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool. Had a look on google for all versions of ccmain going to restart now in safe mode....

It Worked problem solved....!

If any one has any similar problems send me a message and il see if i can help.
