My daughter's computer was infected with the Rogue Internet Security 2010. It would not let me use Malwarebytes, and it prevented the use of system restore and booting into safe mode. I tried to remove it with super anti spyware, which detected the infection(s), but on rebooting I find that I cannot log in.

It presents me with a log in window (myself as adminstrator and my daughter as a user) but if I log in it immediately logs out again. I cannot log in to safe mode, nor even into the 'last known good configuration'. Using ctrl+alt+del only takes me back into the log in/log out cycle.

Can anyone help me get into the computer so that I can try the removal methods detailed elsewhere here? Many thanks.

The operating system is Windows XP, and it's fully up to date with all security patches etc.
