I have an HP Laptop with Vista on it...

I also have sevral other laptops woth out Vista...

They never drop the printer connection.

My brother MFC490CW is a wireless multifunction printer.
Whenever I try to print to it with the hp laptop, the only way i can get it to work is to unistall the printer then reinstall it.
Then it works fine for a day or so and I have to do it again.

Any thoughts other then blowing up my Vista Laptop

Since you didn't mention it, I'm assuming you can still surf when this happens?

Can you ping the printer's IP address when this happens?

You said that the only thing you found that fixes it is reinstalling, what else have you tried?

Hope this helps thumbup.gif
