1 computer has already been installed with XP Pro Service Pack 2. The second computer (about 3 months later) has then been booted using the exact same disk but a different license. For the first computer the disk and license were purchased at the same time, but for the second computer, only the license was purchased. They are in different physical locations (suburban, rural) and are in no way connected to each other. I would like to know if I will have any problems or instability. I would especially want to know if anything will happen if both computers are connected to the internet. Thanks.

As long as the license obatained is legal/valid, not used on another system, and relates to the version (XP Pro) installed...no pooblem that I can see.

I have about 8 active licenses for XP Home, I use the same CD (or copies thereof) to install/repair each system running.

One important part I left out...you are not talking about XP install/recovery/restore CDs which come with systems made by Dell, HP, Toshiba, etc. Those are not the equivalents of a MS XP install CD in regard to usage, since they tend to be proprietary in the files contained on the disk and the manner in whcih they work.

You can buy them for like 75 bucks direct from MS.

Ahh... Thank You very much. By the way, both licenses and disk are legal and I got the second license from a computer specialist store as the mainstream retailers are reluctant to sell just the disk or license.
