This has been driving me crazy since yesterday morning.
I can't connect to the Internet except through Internet Explorer/ I cannot update or connect to the online features of
b) Norton Antivirus
c) AVG Antivirus
d) [online game] windows client
e) FireFox (Cannot find pages)
g) anything else I've tried
I don't know too much about computers but here's what I've tried.
System restore, ipconfig /release>ipconfig /renew, Repair connection, hardware scan (all hardware is working), Shutdown all firewall/antivirus software, Left off over a long period of time, Dell Tech Support (Ha!)
Here are a few interesting things to note...
I am running on a network through a Linksys wireless router, the other computer on the network (the wireless one) Is working fine, except that it can't access this computer.
I am running Windows XP Home Edition with SP2 installed.
My Windows Firewall is turned OFF.
I am running ZoneAlarm Pro, Adaware Plus, Adwatch, Registry Mechanic, Diskeeper, Panda Active Scan (free), PcPitstop (free), PcPitstop Optimize.
I would be very grateful for any help you could give.
