I am running Windows XP SP3. It's been approximately a week since I started receiving DCOM Sevice Process Launcher error. I changed the recovery options of the service to restart the service after 1 minute instead of restarting the computer. So now I only acknowledge the error message and continue working. This problem appears sporadically every few minutes. I looked at the application and system event logs and can't see any pattern that may suggest what triggers it. Below are the messages from the application and system event logs:

Application Log:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Application Error
Event Category: (100)
Event ID: 1000
Date: 2/6/2010
Time: 9:38:01 AM
User: N/A
Computer: LAPTOP
Faulting application svchost.exe, version 5.1.2600.5512, faulting module unknown, version, fault address 0x0145f7a0.

System Log:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7031
Date: 2/6/2010
Time: 9:12:01 AM
User: N/A
Computer: LAPTOP
The DCOM Server Process Launcher service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 150 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 60000 milliseconds: Restart the service.

Any thoughts?
