by portable you mean on a memorystick?

i know i can do that, but i dont like it. i want to actiouly make it portable, so it wonr install. i know that theres a program to do it for U3 programs, but thats not what im looking for, i want to keep the application in ".exe" format. U3 programs are in a whole different format that i dont like.

thanks, i have both of the programs at: http://www.pendriveapps.com/software/build-your-own/
and i found that"Universal Extractor Extract Files from any type of archive" works pretty well, but i think "Innounp The Inno Setup Unpacker" will work better, but i dont understand it compleatly. i am going to re-read the info on it, but if you can give me any more info that would be very helpful

Well if would help if you told use which programmiing language you are using. Each one has its own runtime file/supplements for that app to work.

Hi,

If you have some budget, just make the program and find a CLEAN windows machine. Create an installer for the program then use VMWare's ThinApp program. That will keep it portable for sure!!

NOTE:
When I said CLEAN Windows Machine, I meant a newly installed Windows in a machine where it has minimal or no other programs installed and sure to have no viruses at all..
