My daughetrs laptop ( running vista ) had the Internet security virus 2010. Scanned using Mcafee which found and quarantined the AV.exe file. Pop ups have now stopped now when ever she wants to run anything, including IE it wants to know the application that created it Help Please

EDIT: Topic moved from Vista forum to a more appropriate place ~ Elise

Welcome to BC.

Sound to me like you still have some malware/spyware on your system.

First you need to read and follow instructions for http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/34773/preparation-guide-for-use-before-using-malware-removal-tools-and-requesting-help/

Then be patient, someone will help you. The security experts are kept very busy here.
