I have recently been having trouble with some kind of malware that redirects from search engines. Also, every hour or so, a box will pop up saying that something has stopped working/terminated (DCOM, Plug and Play, Windows) and my computer shuts down after about a minute. Finally, internet explorer occasionally pops up and goes to a random webpage every so often. All of these problems started at the same time. While none of them have prevented me from being able to do my usual work, they are certainly a nuisance, and I'm worried that they may cause deeper problems.

My operating system is Windows Vista, and I have run Malwarebytes, CCleaner, avast antivirus scans, and SuperAntiSpyware. SuperAntiSpyware picks up multiple adware.cookie things every time I run it, but the problem has not changed. As you can see, I am not particularly computer savvy, and so I would be quite grateful for any help. Thanks!
