I kind of need help, when I do system restore it doesn't finish! It gets to one point then it stops. When it first happened I thought I was being impatient so I went to sleep from 10 pm to 7 am. Still the same thing! Can someone help?

By the way, I am using Windows ME.

Well it sounds as if your restore files are corrupt or you have a bad adware &/or malware infestation.

Does the computer lock up during the restore or does it just stop responding?
Do you have a problem causing you to have to do a restore?
Is the computer operational as of right now?

Answer these questions and do a cleaning with these free tools and then we will proceed with getting your System Restore working again.

1. It just stops moving, it doesn't stop responding though.
2. Yes, internet problems.
3. Yeah.

You didn't say if you did the adware & malware scans.
If so did you find anything?

How is your computer running?

Go to System Restore and create a new restore point>name it>see if it will create one.

Then:

Go to Disk Cleanup:
Start>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Cleanup>Check the Options you want to Delete>Click the More Options Tab>Under System Restore section, Click Cleanup this will remove all but the last restore point.
