That appears to be a problem with Windows Defender, I would try uninstalling it and reinstalling it.

I would also run a thorough scan of my system with the new installed/updated program, as well as my AV and other antimalware programs which may be installed.

been researching and Defender seems to be the key - problem is I cant get anything to actually work - mouse moves around and highlights icons but nothing happens when i click on them - been left on for hours and more things are appearing very slowly, almost as if pc is in slow motion

would uninstall if i could get in prog files to do it

whatever I click on fails to respond

just had another error - PCMMediasharing.exe stopped working

think it must have a virus

is there a way to reload back to previous / saved settings?

thanks
